The Braintree Public Schools (BPS) is committed to continuous improvement in all that we do for our students, parents, and staff. As we head into the reopening of our schools this fall, we have made significant investments and improvements to transform our remote learning capabilities.
We learned a lot about remote learning this past spring after the abrupt school closure due to the pandemic and have taken that learning to completely reinvent and develop an integrated, robust, and personalized educational experience for our students. From teacher-led live video classes, to structured courses and classes, to grading and attendance requirements, the BPS is well-positioned to offer both stand-alone programming with our Remote Learning School (RLS) and seamless transitions among in-person, hybrid, and full remote learning.
Our commitment to providing safe and secure online learning applications and platforms remains unchanged. It is both our duty and responsibility to ensure that we do everything we can to protect our students, families, and staff from data breaches, cyberbullying, and disruptive and inappropriate intrusion from hackers and internet tolls. We are committed to creating an atmosphere of trust among our school community through demonstrating our ability to provide a positive, safe, and enriching educational experience where students can thrive.
To that end, we have partnered with Family Zone, a leading provider of cyber safety products and education, to ensure your children and young adults are cyber safe while at school and home. The BPS is already using Family Zone to block inappropriate content and to identify red flag search terms from students.
As a parent or caregiver of students in our school district, you will receive free access to the Family Zone Cyber Safety Hub, which includes articles, videos, courses, and more. Sincerely,
